You heard it here first: Labour-Conservative pact after 2015 election

I predict that a Labour-Conservative pact will be the outcome of the May election.
They agree on a raft of key issues which would rule out coalitions with smaller parties:
  • keeping the union
  • staying in Europe
  • replacing trident
  • more austerity to cut the deficit
  • liberal interventionist foreign policy
  • tougher rhetoric against immigrants and criminals.
Some Labour MPs will leave to form a new party. But not as many as you think.

Labour will get some sops out of the Tories - say an above inflation rise to the minimum wage every year for five years.
